random bit of info: I am a nurse, and at the hospital I work at, for the SEVERE cases of C Dif, we do fecal infusions. Yes, that is a feeding tube down into your small intestines feeding you poo from your friends and family... and they wonder why there's a nursing shortage!

I am 4 almost 5 weeks post op and very happy with the 20lbs lost so far. I really waffled between this surgery and the RNY, mostly because my doctor reccommended the RNY. Anyway I choose the band and I made the right choice. In the hospital where I had my surgery, three of us were there at the same time, 2 banders and 1 RNY. Myself and the other bander were up and walking around, very little pain, and the girl with the RNY next to me howled in pain all day and night. Thats when I knew it was the right choice for me.

I just had C-Diff and was hospitalized for 10 days! No fun!

I saw my Doctor today. I told him I had the body of a God - He said Yeah Buddha
He said I needed to get in shape. I said I am in shape. ROUND is a shape.
He warned me I should diet. I said DIET I can't even see it.
Topic: My Funny from Lap Band Orientation
So I went to an information meeting for Lap Band back in march. I met the doctor learneda abot lap band ect. Someone asked about plastric surgery. The doctor advised to cross that bridge when you come to it. He then mentioned that you can sell your skin in certain hospitals. I said No way really? Why? Dr: To help burn victims heal. ME: So wait. I could be walking down the road and say Hey that looks like my freckle. WAIT it IS my freckle? It was the only time i saw that man smile all night..LOL
Also another story is from my friend at work that had RNY. She is at goal and is having plastics done. She went in the bathroom and found a very dark freckle on her stomach. hmmm she thought that wasn't there before. That looks like the one from my pubic area that I have. She pulled her pants down and the freckle was GONE!!! She had so much skin to move around her friendly freckle jumped up several inches from it's prevous home..LOL

K I have to say I don't know which is worse your story or mine. I was in a grocery store and this 70ish lady comes over pats my bell and asks when I'm due. I have PCOS and have been trying to get pregnant for 10 years. I fought the urge to rip of her hand and give it to her as a birthday present and instead said. I can't have children but thanks for that now get your had off of me NOW!
When will people learn unless they see a head crowing don't assume someone is pregnant!
