Anyone near Marietta/Atlanta...wellstar Cobb?

Hi there, I had surgery at a military hospital last April. We moved to Douglasville Georgia last summer. My new PCP referred me to Dr. Duncan in Atlanta but he will not see patients that he did not perform the surgery on...so, I have have been searching for SOMEONE that I will be able to go see for my one year post-op appointment and labs. (within the next few weeks) PLUS...virginia had monthly support group meetings and I miss that! I really would feel more accountable if I had support from others in my same situation! On a good note...I am 11 months post-op and have lost a total of 121 pounds...I am now weighing an awesome 112 pounds....wearing size 5/small clothing...which I am in dire need of these days! I feel great, although I am tired alot and feel like I may have some blood sugar issues. Lately I have noticed that I get shaky and feel a slight bit dizzy! Anyways...can anyone help me with a doctor? Amy

Hi Amy and welcome to Georgia! I would use Dr. John Daly. He is by far one of the best docs in the ATL area. I had a near death experience post op and he was so gracious enough to follow me and I am SO happy and I trust him with my life, PERIOD. His phone number is 404 252 0433. Does Dr Daly do lab bands? I would love to find someone around here that will do fills for me ...Rather than drive to Moultrie every time ...Such as this saturday ...UGHHH i know a few peopel that have used him for surgery but i was not sure if he did the bands ? Thanks Laura

OMG they are SUPER NICE THERE ...I just called to see if he will do fills on me ( they might be cheeper and closer) and Carolin was who i talked to and she was super nice ...I can not belive it !!! i so hope he can help me ....and if he got my insurance to pay that would be even better but i am not going to hoep for it all LOL if you know what i mean ...closer and cheeper is all i am looking for ..... Laura, I tell ya Dr. Daly is the best and he will help if he can. Caroline and Tammy both are great. I just have dealt more with Tammy. Keep us posted on what he will do for you. Also, if insurance can get approved it will be Tammy that can get it done. Never compromise your health for money because in the long run it is so not worth it. How about better, dependable, reliable and the doctor doing a fabulous job instead of closer and cheaper? Just a thought. Have a great day today, Crece

Ok you got me in a way ...See i all reaedy knew he was a better, dependable, reliable doctor than the nusrse i go see ...So i was just adding the closer and cheeper part. guess i should have tayped that all out. Oh trust me after Duncan i have learned to do the research and money is nothing when it comes to fixing your body or getting something done to your body. but i know Daly has a great reputation. I was going to go to him originally but he was not taking insurance at that time three years ago so i passed ...and to be honest i almost wish i would have waited for him to take insurance or just paid out of pocket. I didn't mean to sound rude by no means. Its just you know some of what happened to me and I certainly do not want that to happen to any one, thats all. I agree, IF I had known about Dr. Daly back in 01 I WOULD OF NEVER USED DUNCAN AT ALL EVEN IF HE WAS FREE. It nearly cost me my life. I still am paying the price for all that happened almost 6 years ago. I would love to get together some time, just let me heal from these last two foot surgeries. I will even treat you to lunch or dinner! Keep in touch gal!

No you were not rude at all .....But i am still waiting on a call ...Funny you go for weight loss surgery and it seams like you spend so much taime waiting for phone calls ....more than anything LOL ....... Laura, More than likely they are waiting to talk to Dr. Daly. I hate to wait too! Yes, very very very bad with Duncan and Hobson and AMC. Don't like to waste my time even talking about them.
