Dr Macik and VSG...anyone else waiting?

I've choosen Dr Macik for my surgeon and he will begin performing VSG surgeries after the first of the year(he does LapBand and RNY currently).  I guess he's getting a waiting list together for those interested.  I was just wondering if anyone on here is on the list and waiting. Debbie

I am not on the list but wanted you to know that Dr. Macik did my RNY and he is a wonderful surgeon.   Besides being a wonderful doctor he is also very caring so you will be in good hands. Take care, Bonnie

Thanks Bonnie, I like to hear reassurance that he's a good surgeon.  He hasn't done VSG before and so it's new to him.  I hear it's easier than RNY and should be a piece of cake for a skilled surgeon. Debbie

I called his office within the last couple of weeks and asked if he did the VSG.  They said yes, but that he had not done any.   I am considering Dr. Richards or Proctor in  Gainesville and want the VSG.
