Proteinex- Dont open if you are grossed out or easily offended !!!!!

 I dont normally try to come on here and vent but..... I was just soooo grossed out I had to share : ok so I am getting ready for my surgery next week     I have been trying different protein drinks plus I ordered some Proteinex to try.....I thought great 18 grams of protein in 1oz.....thats is until I tried it ! (that was me in the kitchen sink.)...now mind you I have a strong stomach ....I mean I take cold meds with no problems. I actually like the taste of Pepto !   ( I know it sounds crazy )But this stuff taste like ASS .......It is across between cold syrup, garlic, and those herbal pills people take !!!! sorry that is the best way to describe it. Just sitting here thinking about it makes me want to throw-up again ! Ok I am going to go for now I just wanted to share.

Shelby, I drink the Atkins Advantage shakes (15g protein, 11 0z) and add a scoop of Any Whey protein mix (17g protein). The whey is almost tasteless. It's not too bad and I've never had to use the kitchen sink. I get it at Walmart. I've heard the Isopure is good as well with about 42g protein. Good luck with the surgery

I have the Isopure...it is great  I was just so shocked that the Protienex was sooooo bad I will try the Atkins thing ....I use to drink those when I was doing atkins back in the day ...lol

I use the Juice Plus line of protein drinks.  They have a mild  flavor and when I add a cup of soy slenda (soymilk) the protein is 20g per shake.  I put instant coffee in mind and blend with ice for a frosty mocachino, delish!!  If you have any questions just ask I'd be glad to help.  Missy

I began using Gold Standard Whey (Rocky Road Chocolate) from Bodybuilding.com about a year before my surgery and I have to say, it is great. I love it and find myself wanting to make myself a shake all the time. I am a chocolate lover so I have pretty much stayed with this flavor but the website has many different ones to choose from. If I had to say it tasted like something, I would say that it is almost like a Frosty from Wendys......that is how good it is and how good it smells and that is with water too.  The isopure is so good! I do like this protein powder! I did the protein powder thing a long time ago and enjoyed it.........I am going to try the Protein powder where i can make that yummy, Tropical Shake and think I am on an Island just sipping something SSSSS OOOOOOO Good!
