NEW EXCITING NEWS FROM GA?
Hello Everyone,
Thank you for your posting. I'm in Marietta GA and looking for some folks to network with - whether that's going to support group meetings, exercise or even just to talk with. I recently had my surgery (RNY) on September 2nd. Overall, it's been great. There has been a couple of times I said to myself "What did I get myself into?" I've even had an episode where I wanted to finish my protein shake and felt the dumping and it was awful. So I'm looking for suggestions and ideas.
I'm having difficulty getting the protein in....Some days are better than others. But again, I can truly say it has gotten better. I do sip, sip, sip all day so I'm getting in at least 48oz of fludis including my protein shakes. I ate baked fish for the first time yesterday and t was great. There are times I'm just REALLY hungry. I've heard it's called head hunger, who cares -- it's still hunger.
Overall, I'm really grateful that I've had the surgery. So many of my co-workers really don't know what to say to me --Not sure if they're uncomfortable or what. My first pre-op vist I had lost 12 pounds (1 week after surgery) and I've not weighed myself since then. I don't want to be a slave to the scale so I'm going to wait until my next visit.
Thank all of you -- I need this group.
Carla
