I got approved!

I have bothered the insurance company over and over for the past few weeks and today they told me i was approved! I was so happy! Of course i then call Dr hart's office and am crushed to hear that until the letter is in hand, nothing will proceed, so i called the insurance company back and asked for them to fax me my letter.  After much digging, they were able to get a hard copy and fax it to me at work.  WooHoo! i called Dr harts office back and told them i was faxing it over and i think they were like um how did you do that and that's weird....but I'm hoping it will get the ball rolling quicker.  What will happen now? I was told that i would have a lot more appointments before i get to the cutting table.  What did you guys have to go through?  Please let me know!

Congrats on your approal.  I'm sure Dr. Hart's office will let you know what's next.   I had to have all my testing done before my information was submitted to the surgeon, so I'm sure each surgeon has his/her own program procedure. Just keep calling them until they tell you the next steps.  Good luck :)

Congratulations!  What wonderful news to take into the New Year!

I am over joyed for you right now!!! Thinking back to how I felt when I got approval.. just send chills down my spine!!  

Dr Harts office has a peliminary date scheduled so that they could send it in to the INS company.  I did the same with the fax thing and was told that until they got the hard copy in a date would not be set.  It should only be a few days!   You will see Dr hart and the Nut before your surgery date.  They will let you know what you need to do to prepare for surgery.  This is a very busy time and it will move very fast!   A couple of weeks from now you will be on your way to a new you.. I can almost bet ya!!   Start getting your protein, vitamines, b12, soups and jellos together and when you see Dr hart get your pain meds filled right away! Some pharmacys dont stock it and have to order it.   You will need them!  I spend the time cleaning house and getting small cups and measuring cups and stuff together and comfy clothes. 

I hae some protein that I am not using if you would like it.  I can try and meet you somewhere with it if you want.  I think I have a full Vanilla and a partial vanilla and some choc.   Let me know.  I dont think your too far from me. Im in woodstock.

Well, i got the call from Dr Hart's office on Tuesday and my class with Dr Hart is on Jan 12th as well as my anesthesia consult, then i go to the NUT on the 15th.  My surgery is set for the 21st and my b-day is the 22nd.  I then have my follow up on the 29th.  I am so excited!  I am also completely freaked out cuz it seems to be very quick.  i have waited 4 years, but now its all quick from approval to actual table time. What do i need to get?  What am i going to be able to do after wards?  Nothing or will i be able to still go to work soon and interact with my kids?  Any advice would be great!
