I need to know when usually the fatigue will end. I have been SO tired. Is there anything I can do to help. I tried to go back to work last Wed and was so tired about mid day that I thought I was going to pass out right there at my desk. I can't seem to overcome the fatigue and get my big butt moving. Any suggestions???? Shree

Are you getting in enough protein, if not then try eating a little more protein ,that may help. Melissa

I was EXHAUSTED from about week 2 to week 6 or so after my surgery. I guess our bodies are directing all the energy to heal.

Shree, I was the same way and it was because I did not have enough B12, plus we are not getting as much carbs so our energy level is down too. Try getting a B12 shot if you can, it helped alot. D'Lynn 232/229/195 -37

Hi Shree, You and I have the same surgery date. I am returning back to work tomorrow and am dreading it. I am a nurse so I have to be ready to take care of others. I totally understand the fatigue thing. Best of luck in your journey and thank you to all who gave suggestions. Cheers, Janet

I had no energy for the first 6 weeks and then at the end of the 6th week all of a sudden I felt great. So hang in there, it will come. ~Bonnie

I was "weak as dishwater" as my mama used to say ;) for several weeks. I was out of work 6 and I was so thrilled I had the luxury of staying out. I felt I needed it. The first "spell" I had was scary almost...it was like I could hardly put one foot in front of the other one. It passed after a day or so, but I just simply had to go to bed.

It will pass. Make sure you take your vitamins and drink a lot of water that helped me but I was tired for the first 6 months then after awhile I start feeling better just take it slow and do as little as you can.
