If You're having WLS in ATLANTA...
Dear Pre-Ops,
If you're facing WLS in an Atlanta Hospital & would like a visit from me the day after, let me know.
I'm an ordained, seminary-trained (Emory U) minister who had the privilege of being a chaplain at Northside Hosp. (12 months) & VAMC (12 months). As a hospital-trained chaplain, I am committed to multifaith ministry and serving persons' spiritual needs regardless of their religious affiliation, or lack thereof!
I'm also a post-op with plenty of before & after photos;
willing to answer as best I can your questions and the concerns of your family members. :thumbsup"
Just let me know. Especially if you're from out of town and feel "cut off" from your friends, family & minister back home.
Lovingly,
Lauralyn

"Better late than never," eh, Bonnie?!
How're you doing these days?
Feel free to pass along my offer to pre-ops in your neck of the woods.
My office is minutes from Northside, St. Joseph's & Emory-Dunwoody; about half hour from Emory U., Crawford Long & other nearby hospitals.
Lovingly,
Lauralyn

Lauralyn:
If you are around the Atlanta Medical Center area I would love to meet you! I have enjoyed reading the answers and words of wisdom you have posted in the past. I am having my surgery June 15th. I had my pre-op today (well yesterday now!) and I got a little nervous when the doctors office told me I needed a cardio clearance or my surgery will be
post-poned.
I have two days to get that taken care of!! I will be on the phone early to find someone to see!! Will you be attending the meeting? Look foward to hearing from you.
Valerie
