Gall bladder stuff is stressing me out..
So, the gall bladder is coming out on Wednesday. I went to the Dr for lightheadedness, dizziness, brusing and petichiae/ They thought I could have luekemia, and did the tests. Everything was normal.. they have no idea what is causing my problems. That was unacceptable, so I changed Dr's. The new Dr told me that he think's the excess skin on my stomach is cutting off my cirrculation when I sit and bend, hence the lightheaded when I stand up.
That may not be it, but it makes more sense than no answer at all. He gave me a B12 shot anyways, just to see if it helped. it didnt. I also complained to him of pain in my back, and they tested me for a kidney infection. it was negative, but they cultured it and and it came back positive for an infection. They put me on bactrim and I take my last one the night before surgery. Then, to top it all off, Emory Dunwoody now makes you pay for procedures upfront. So, I have to pay my 20% upfront.. good bye $1100.00. I am so stressed out and it's affecting everything. I just want this surgery over with.
Anyways, that's whats going with me. I hope you get better, Lynn. You too, Dee Dee.
Kay - you'll be in my prayers as you go through your procedure. I'm telling you now stay ahead on the pain medecine....this crap hurts!!! But with the GBP surgery each day seems to be getting a bit better. I can get up a little easier today than yesterday.....I am able to breathe a little better....hopefully by the end of the week when I go back to the doctor I'll be able to go back to work.

Hey Kay! I hope things turn around for you soon!
Regarding the B-12 shot.....it is very possible and happens regualrly that your B-12 could be in the normal ranges and you could still have symptoms of low B-12. Especially if it's lower than your body was used to pre-op. The symptoms won't all go away after just one shot. I highly recommend speaking to your Dr about getting one shot a week for at least a month. My G-friend that I mentioned that had the brusing & all took 1 shot a week for a month and now does them twice a month. It took a good month to month 1/2 for the brusing to stop and the bruises to go away.
Also, James & I both experience light-headedness when we stand-up on occasion. We're not sure if it dehydration symptoms or possibly drop or increase of blood sugar. Drinking plenty of fluids and standing up slowly seems to really help.
HUgs to you gal! GOod luck with the surgery!
