I'm doing well with the popcicles and jello, water too. I can't seem to bring myself to take in broth. I have not thrown it up well to be honest I have only had two teaspoons since I've been home and it made me queasy. Any suggestions? Caren

Hi Caren, I had much better luck with 'Better Than Boullion'. It's found the same place as the boullion cubes. I always strained it after I made it. Also, minnestrone soup has a light tomato based broth, which is a great change from the chicken broth. Just make sure you strain it also. Juicy juice mixed with water was easier for me than water. I diluted it about 1 ounce juice to 3 ounces of water. It does get easier, just one day at a time. Love, Barb

Caren, I loved "Soup at Hand" soups by Campbell's. You are able to drink these. My favorites were "Velvety Potato" and something with chicken. I still don't do well with chicken, but this soup did not bother me. I was not able to eat much, but it was satisfying. Hope this helps. Hugs, Becky

For the first 3-5 days, the fluids have to be clear. I think I made it three days. LOL I started using the soups as soon as I could start full liquids. I know there are much healthier choices, but since I don't cook much, these worked very well for me. Hope this helps! Becky

Broth isn't necessary, what is important is to get in your liquids and as much protein as possible. I knew before my surgery that I would not be able to tolerate canned broth, bullion cubes or powders, so I made my own flavored broth and froze it as ice cubes. It was great. I also made soups and drained the liquid and drank it. Since I had my surgery in July I also bought a snow cone machine! It was great....did I say was? I still love it! You can also get sugar free snow cone syrups (in a packet to mix with water) at Wal-Mart! I even froze Crystal Light and ran in through the snow cone machine! If you are able to get in popcicles and jello, maybe it is just that you are having problems with warm fluids. Patti

Hi! Try Campbell's chicken noodle soup. Don't eat the noodles, just drink the broth, it healthy for you and you should be able to keep it down. I also did the cream soups, the ones that come in a box and you have to add water to. I had nausea for about 7 mts no matter what I ate. Its better now, I don't have it often. In time it will go away. Hope this helps! vv
