Hi, Pati, I think you are typical. One of my best friends had a similar experience. She was nauseaus for a while. It did go away. We wonder if she had more of a distal (more removed) bypass than proximal. Now she is feeling great! Karen lost all of her excess weight fast, 120 lbs. in the first year! Keep those fluids coming! I hope you feel better soon! Hugs, Becky

Pati, This past Thursday I marked the turning of twelve years post op VBG. and I still remember to this day that the first six to eight months post op . Having WLS in the summer time I dehydrated regularly to the point my surgeon put a hep lock in my left hand for a few months and when it infiltrated we went to the right. Today my hands are really sensitive to anyone touching them so NO, NEVER, AINT GONNA HAPPEN for ANY IVs in my hands again, Today I can laugh because I was a mess the first year, I was nervous about everything, am I loosing enough, too much, too quick, the what ifs are something no one can ever tell you or teach you about ... things come and go and later on you wonder 'Did I REALLY stress over that?' but it all works out. I was just telling my husband the other night that by Christmas 93 when my ex and I got our Christmas PICS back I honest to goodness DID NOT recognize my own photos!! I know once we get everything straight with my current complications that the old new me will be back. I just pray it is soon!
