Back from Disneyworld!

Hey everyone! Well, we have just gotten back from a pretty great week at Disneyworld. The boys just can't understand why we can't just live at the Animal Kingdom Lodge forever...We had a fabulous time, we were going to watch the shuttle launch, my dh has a friend that works there, and got us the absolute best spot, we were looking at the launch pad, and then they cancelled it. We are still bummed about it, thankfully the boys don't know really what they missed. The only bad thing that happend(for me, at least) was the food. You know I will be three years out in October, and I can eat most things, well.....The food at the Animal Kingdom Lodge is African, consisting of LOTS of wonderful spices and curries..Everything tasted great, but nothing sat well with my Pouch. I almost felt like a new pre op again, and man, I feel for you guys. I had truly forgotten what it was like to try a food, and not know if you were going to get sick from it, and then get sick. Well, I have about 10 loads of laundry to do, and groceries to go buy. I hope that everyone is doing well! Cathy

Cathy, My entire family is going next summer (there are 12 of us) and we are planning on staying at the Animal Kingdom lodge. I'll be three years out in September, thanks for warning me about the food. How was the Animal Kingdom lodge? Did you love it? Was it as nice as it looks on the website? I'm looking forward to going. The last time we went to Disney was a month before my surgery and I didn't ride much because of my size. This time I'll be able to ride whatever I want! Shelly E.

Shelly, This is our second trip to Florida since we moved here, last year the hotel we stayed at looked nothing like the pics on the net. All I can say about the Animal Kingdom Lodge is WOW! The pics just don't do it justice, it was truly amazing. Make sure to have at least a day just to stay at the lodge, they have a great pool and waterslide, activites for the kids, you name it they have it. I hope that next summer you have a wonderful time, we are already planning ours too! Cathy

Becky, Great new pic! We took a ton of pics, but just need to download them into the computer. I really hope that they turn out good, Ryan doesn't like to get his pic done, and will hardly ever look at the camera. Disneyworld was wonderful, we are already planning a trip for next summer! Cathy
