Ultimate 'wow' moment today

Today I finally went shopping...needing new clothes!! I have lost 30 pounds since my rebirthday of 6/20/2005. Needless to say, the clothes were getting baggy. Well today I went to Lane Bryant. Before surgery, I was wearing 3X in tops and 26 in pants/jeans, and today I bought 14-16 tops and 18-20 pants, and 20 in jeans!!! I never thought that I would shrink that much so quickly, and that I would shrink out of Lane Bryant. I could not believe that I was able to get in those sizes. The jeans are very snug, so I can not wear them just yet, but probably in a week or two. I could not help myself, so I had to share this news with all my 'new' friends. Needless to say I am for joy, and doing the happy . I sure do hope that there will be a clothes exchange this Saturday at the Delkwood Grill (I think that is where were meeting, right)?? Norma

Norma, I am soooo happy for you!! I remember that time when I went from a 28-32 to now a 16-18 too...looking at the shirt and thinking "nope, too small for me" but beeing totally shocked when it actually fit...I STILL feel that way with some clothes. It's an AMAZING feeling!! I'm proud of you!

It's a great feeling isnt it???? It's weird to NOT shop in the "big girl" stores any more.....I have a hard time shopping becuase I've gone into those stores for so long that I'm afraid I won't really fit into the "skinnier" clothes. Keep up the fantastic work! Dee Dee

Congratulations! You are doing great!! I've gone from a 30/32 to a 22 so far. I'm not "shrinking" as fast as some, but I'm still quite pleased. Has anyone else noticed how much smaller pockets are in smaller clothes? I think that's so weird! It's funny the things you notice now, huh?
