AMC hospital rooms?

Hey ya'll! I just got back from spending all day in Atlanta. I got all my pre-op done and I am now just waiting for the time my surgery will be on the 31st. Now the nerve wrecking wait begins! LOL I was wondering, do they have like a little couch or something in the hopsital rooms? My dad wants to stay with me through the night of my surgery. I didn't know if they had something he can sleep on or does he need to get a room somewhere close by? With everything going on today, I completely forgot to ask. thanks! Kimberly

They have a chairbed in the room. It actually lies flat, and is pretty comfortable. I slept on it when Derrick stayed. They brought me pillows and blankets...it was nice. Compared to other hospitals, it is comfortable. I'm glad he will be there with you.
