Other Hospitals in GA- Dr. Duncan only uses AMC

I used Dr. Hobson (in Dr. Duncan's group), and my surgery was at AMC. My husband also had surgery at HMC with Dr. Hobson. We had EXCELLENT care! We had a problem with one nursing assistant when my husband was there, but that was quickly rectified. Good luck to you. And, you can say that you ONLY want Duncan to do your surgery...you don't have to take whomever....at least you could a while back. I know they have made some changes. Congrats on your approval.

i went to emory dunwoody and believe me its the Ritz, the bariatric ward is outstanding. my doctor is dr hart, with atlanta bariatrics he is very good. everyone on staff was very professional. hopes this helps carol

I know Dr. Duncan is going to start to do procedures at North Fulton Regional Hospital in Roswell. You may want to ask his staff if he will be willing to do your procedure there.

I was very happy with my stay at AMC, the staff I had were great, and I too looked over the heli pad. But for one night I did not care, was walking on and off most of the night any way, cause I wanted to be able to get out in the morning, but I did have a delay(small one) I am allergic to iodine and the dye they use to do the leak test has a small amount of iodine in it and it is the first time I ever had a reaction to the dyes. The had me a shot of benidryal ready and kept check of me for a few hours, to make sure every thing was ok, and than let me go. I would recommend AMC and Dr. Duncan & Dr. Hobson, are No. 2 in the world for bariatric surgery so You have the best, like they said if you want No. 1 he is in California. Hi Lynda, I am wondering where you got the information that Dr. Duncan and Dr. Hobson are #2 in the world for bariatric surgery?? Is there a list of doctors that we can go to see the ranking? I would love to see it. And how is this ranking compiled? What a great help that would be for those trying to choose a surgeon. Hazel

Thank you so much everyone for all the info. I'm going to stick with their practice and just request Dr. Titus. I got to the complications class Thursday and Pre-Pre Assessment on Tuesday. THEN I GET A DATE! A DATE! MY NEW BIRTHDAY!!! I'm go excited, scared, and happy. PS...I'd like to know if there is a site for ranking too. PSS... This site has been a godsend to me. I trully thank all of you for updating your profiles and letting others share you stories. I HAD MY SURGERY AT ROCKDALE MEDICAL WITH DR MAYNARD HE IS AN EXCELLENT SURGEON BUT I HAD THE DS HE ONLY DOES THE DS HIS STAFF IS WONDERFUL IF U WANT MORE INFO PLEASE LAT ME KNOW THERE IS ALSO DR KERMIE ROBINSON WHO USES SAME HOSPITAL AND DOES RNY BUT DON'T KNOW TOO MUCH ABOUT HIM LOVE CANDY
