On 04 of Aug, 2011..I was officially **APPROVED 4 GBS** 
(just a bundle of mix'd emotions). It was so funny how it happen..I was driving to take my hub'b to school and I had him to call 
my **LATICE WILLIAMS** temporary Bariatric Coordinator frm Peachtree Bariatrics & Surgical but all I got was her vm (boooo) so I proceeded to leave a message askn her to give me a call. Not evn 3 minutes later she was calln me with some very exciting news in her voice **YOU HAVE BEEN APPROVED FOR THE GBS** 
and driving is a hard job but I managed it and maintained my lane **I AM SO GOOD** 
. I began, this WLSJ (Weight Loss Surgery Journey) in March of 2010, hand my first consulatation with my surgeon (Dr. Larry Hobson) on the 24 of August 2010, and turned in all of my paperwork 
on 22nd of March, 2011. I know you are wondering why did it take so long for the approval but it was a mis-communication 
on the behalf of a Bariatric Coordinator ( 
which I shall keep nameless out of respect 
) but hey I look at it like this everything happens for a reason 
. But,hey this is something I just had to chop up and take it like a Grown Woman would have with a 
.N-E-Way the rest is nor here or there but I can officially shout 
***I WAS APPROVED..NO MORE WAITING ON M Y END***

Wow,
Can you believe it's already been a whole year?
Doesn't it seem like it was just yesterday when you were learning to eat again? And remember that first walk on surgery day? You looked up at the nurse, still a little loopy from the anesthesia and questioned whether she smoked crack on her lunch break because surely there was no way you were gonna be able to walk!
But, you did it! You made it through those first baby steps, and lived through that dang drain, and drank that horrible Unjury, and the Crystal light.
And one day a few weeks later, you woke up and felt like Rolanda again. You have discovered this DS thing is not so bad. You can bend, and twist, and jump, and dance, and all manner of things you never imagined. Can you believe we went tubing last month? US? Former fat girls! And we walked all over Helen in the blazing sun and didn't have to sit down every 10 steps. And we rode the horses and didn't have a second thought about whether we'd be able to lift ourselves up onto the seat, or if we would weigh too much.
This past year has been a test of your physical and emotional endurance. You discovered your body is more resilient than you ever estimated. You have learned that you can love someone, but still love yourself more because ultimately you are the most important person in your life. You have learned you deserve happiness, and joy, and all the best life has to offer.
I am so blessed to have you as a friend and wls buddy. I am so proud of all you have accomplished. I can't wait to see what amazing things year 2 has in store for you. I have a feeling it's gonna be AWESOME!

Our next meeting is this coming Tuesday, August 9th at my home. Please spread the word!!
We will be discussing when to have our meetings from now on. I went to Fitness Spa today after work and she has agreed for us to meet there once a month. I have lots of information and can't wait to share it with you. Mollie McCarl is a Personal Trainer and Nutrionist and has agreed to speak to us and possibly do an exercise class just for us! Wouldn't it be fun to exercise together? Fitness Spa is a Ladies Only Fitness place!
Anyone near Peachtree City, Georgia, we would love for you to come Tuesday at 7 pm. Hope to see you there!!
We also plan on having a clothing swap in October so save your clothes that have outgrown you. Doesn't that sound pretty cool, clothes outgrowing us.
