I was so happy to see everyone, if only for a moment... moving has been hell as far as working out and watching my diet go. I needed to have a real meeting, but c'est la vie. I'll be there in May with bells on

People supporting each other on this amazing and sometimes scary journey.
We can reach out to each other for support with ideas to help us become successful in our journey to a healthier self.
No matter where you are in the journey, you are welcome and encouraged to join us!
Meetings held the 2nd Tuesday of the month beginning in May 2011 at 7 p.m.

All WLS types are welcome; the curious, pre op and post op from any surgeon. Please feel free to bring your support people!
Each meeting will consist of an introduction by each attendee, a short open forum and an educational topic. At some meetings there may be product samples, a clothing exchange, an occasional social outing if you so desire and a speaker from time to time.

Topic: Has any one with medicare used Dr Oliver Whipple?
Iwas just wandering if he makes u go through a 6 month pysician assisted diet b/c my medicare doesn't it's up to the surgeon any input u have on dr Whipple would be great

I wanted to pass along that the agency I work for has put together a group cruise for WLS-ers over the Labor Day holiday this year. See the info below. A $50 deposit holds your space. There is a special booking incentive for anyone putting down their $50 deposit by May 5th.

Regardless.............time to change Drs. They are SUPPOSE to have you best interest at heart. Yours obviously do NOT! Get a Dr. that will work for YOU!

I asked Dr. Macik directly for a referrel and he referred me to Dr. Sandra Banks - 404-381-1831. Her office is around the corner from his.
