ok I will. I am looking in Cobb County since I will be working on piedmont rd by Jason's Deli. I am hoping to stay away for Atlanta during rush hour. It seems everything I can find is south of Atlanta for the price.

Topic: Moving to Georgia next month from Pittsburgh need to meet new friends
I will be moving around Atlanta ga next month for work and I know nobody there. I would love to make some new close friends especially ones that have had WLS. I do have a few questions I know traffic can be terrible but if I was to find somewhere north of Atlanta would I be avoiding rush hour traffic. I will be working close to buckhead piedmont area and I don't want to sit in rush hour traffic if I can help it my big issue is places that I can afford seem to be south of Atlanta. Any Suggestions and would love to meet some new friends. I am excited but so nervous I will miss my fam and friends here but cant wait to start a new journey

Topic: DS docs in Georgia?

I originally started my journey researching RnY and I had not considered DS.  Now that I'm starting all over again, I would like to be fully informed.  Has anyone has DS surgery this year (2011) with any of the Georgia doctors? If so, who was your physician?  For those that chose physicians outside of Georgia, what made you decide to do so?

Even though I'm considering the surgery, I'm not too sure that I will be willing to travel out of state.  It would take alot of maneuvering with my children.

Any advice is welcomed.

I Agree....I've been debating this process since 2008.  I still haven't made a decision yet.  (I SUPPOSE****ep telling myself...I can't do this without surgery.....I can do it.

NOT with working 12-14 hrs sitting down at work and snacking at my desk b/c my job is demanding so I snack and eat carry out a lot.....Just wish I could get into 1 good 6 week bootcampt and then it's ON!!!

Pray for me people.....lol

Almost every woman in my family has used Dr. Duncan (5 of them) from as far back as 2004 and they're all doing wonderful and are looking AHHHHH-mazing.

I don't know why women in my family has gained soooo much weight.  Culture (in terms of eating habits) and HORMONES is the best I could come up with.  I keep debating and debating it myself with Dr. Michael Williams out in Alpharetta but all of the others have used Dr. Duncan b/c he's closer.    I'm still leary.  I'm 245 and HATE IT!  I lose the weight and gain it alllll back + 10 lbs....It's getting on my last nerve too. Agh!!!  It's been a struggle for me to lose weight  AND KEEP IT OFF since I was 30 (I'm 40 now) and my concerns are hair loss/thinning and lose skin....(ick!).

Decisions, decisions.....good luck!

No, I'm not a state of GA employee.  I work for a comapny whose corporate office is out of California.  I have Blue Cross Anthem insurance, so I just need to make sure that there will be no changes for 2012.

Praying for the best!!!

Hey Girl,

Good Luck to you on this journey and congrats for never giving up!  It is really quiet here.  Its a shame but I can not say I have made it better.  Hopefully we can get it interesting around here!
