You are NOT alone! I got my band in Nov. '09 and have since had 16 fills and 4 partial unfills. NO restriction/sweet spot/green zone!!! Either too loose or too tight. No happy medium. The CRAP-BAND has not worked at all like Allergan described!!! Unfortunately a lot of us have been screwed over by Allergan(Lap-Band) and Johnson & Johnson (Realize Band)!!!

this is crazy I though I was alone I got the surgery 08/2009 and I was doing extrememly well losing 60 pounds in 2 and a half months but since then I've gained it all back and can't lose it for beans, I'm super active can go to the gym and work out for hours. I know how to also diet well, but do have the occasional slip-up( relapse on sweets). I'm at wits end

I agree I like Robin too... the other nurse was nurse ratchet.... and we didn't hire Macik for his personality...it's his surgical skills....!!!

Hi there. The nurse he has now is Robin. She has had RNY so she is very well versed in obesity. Personally, I like her better than I like him.

I had Dr. Macik complete my RNY many years ago. I am totally pleased with him as a surgeon, but I did have some problems with his nurse at that time. She was a new employee to him and I don't think she knew anything about obesity sensitivity for patients. I felt bad and embarrassed so I stopped my follow up appointments. I know I should have thick skinned and faced it, but I am just not that type of person.
Would someone mind sending me a private message to let me know who he has as a nurse now? I don't know what her name was when I was a patient then, but would like a general description of who he has now....and if it's the same person.

Thanks for sharing! I think in most cities there are places like these where you can get affordable fresh fruits and veggies. Sometimes you just need to think outside of the box. I love going to Asian and Hispanic markets too!
