A Moment For Me

  I had a moment tonight. I was sitting on the bed, and going through bags and boxes of clothes to put away. We finally picked up a couple of dressers from Ikea, so it was the first opportunity to put it away. 

Anyway, I'm sitting there folding shirt after shirt and putting them away. I filled two drawers full of shirts, and haven't made a dent. 

Then it dawned on me. This is the first time I've had so much clothing that actually fits. I'm used to buying stuff, and then having it sit there because I gained weight. Trying things on, and having to toss it back into the closet for another day. 

Not anymore. I now have more clothes than I have ever had. 

Alot of it will be going soon because it's too big. Some of it is just way too baggy now. I put on my uniform, one that I could barely get into, and now I swim in it. 

I felt really good about that. 

I wanted to share!

Well I have gone through my clothes so quickly now I hardly have any! I have more room in my closet than ever. I have decided to try a consignment store the stuff I am not going to wear again...

I got a really nice pair of black pants and wore them one time and then they were too big!

So don't get too attached to your clothes...I have been going through mine very quickly!

It is fun to be smaller though and be able to find clothes you like!

I am such a clothes ***** now!!!  I wear a 42 waist and I can fit in designer XXL and regular XL and I am buying sutff that I used to only dream about buying.

Don't invest too heavily in your "transitional" wardrobe; only enough to keep yourself warm and modest!  I bought a few pairs of slacks, expecting that I'd get 6 or more months out of them and they were a loose and baggy as the pants I was wearing on my day of surgery within a month!

I've been "time travelling", working through strata of clothing I purchased as long as 20 years ago, and had either outgrown or never ever worn!  I'm almost at the end of that pile!

What a great feeling!!!!  Each Saturday I am saying good by to clothes I had that at first I could not fit in!!  What a wonderful place to be!~Ann~

Feels great doesn't it! I've only lost 40 pounds but my size has gone down dramatically. I love being able to buy sales clothes and having a nice selection since I am not shopping in the big boy's department. I went from 2XL to XL or L in shirts and 44-46 waist to 40-38".  -- Tom

I went and played paint ball with a group of guys in there late 20"s early 30's.......I layered my clothing....I brought a pair of 44" jeans to wear as the top layer.....I had sweat pants and shorts underneath....

AND THEY WERE STILL TOO BIG....i HAD TO WEAR A BELT WITH THEM.......

I WORE THAT SIZE 6 MONTHS AGO !!!!!

I WAS ALSO ABLE TO KEEP UP WITH THE YOUNG GUYS........

THAT NEVER WOULD HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE A YEAR AGO !!!!!

I CAN NOW GO TO A MALL AND SHOP.....FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 14 YEARS
