Plastic Surgery --Anyone had it yet?
Hi Ladies. I am in Wiesbaden. I am interested in learning more about plastic surgery options while here in Germany.
I PCS in Apr 07 so I'm thinking of starting this process soon....And maybe being able to have them by Oct/Nov/Dec...
If you had plastic surgery, did tricare support you or give you a hard time, and if you did what did you have....
AND,....if you have names ( city/location) of the plastic surgeons (let me know if you would recommend them..) that too would be most helpful. I'm setting up an appt in about 3 wks to go talk to my PCM and all the insight i could have on people in the are would be helpful.
She is up for some plastic surgery. Ask her about it. She's also on the cover of a WLS cookbook. I'm picking one up myself, but thought I'd pass on the love.

Hello Heather,
I just stumbled on to this board (sorry Carmen, just read your post as well...). Anyway, I just had my first plastic surgery. Ticare did inform me that they are covering the tummy tuck and a breast reduction. No lifts, arms or legs! I have tried. My surgeon just came on board with Tricare. He is in Bamberg and he is wonderful!!!! His name is Dr. Kleiner and I am not sure how good is English is (I speak the native tongue..) but I think it is good enough to communicate what you want/need and what he will do. He is wonderful and so is his staff. My surgery was four weeks ago and it is healing very nicely. I think in order for Tricare to cover you while you are here you must have a certain amount of time left here in country. Not sure how much.
They also have a list at your local tricare office of approved plastic surgeons in Europe.
Good luck on your journey.
Have a great day.
