Prof. Dr. Hesse Stutgart Germany

Has anyone heard of him or have information where i can find info on him? he is the preferred provider in my area but I can not locate any info. any help would be great thank you

I have not heard of him, but I am in a different area. My surgery is with Professor Weiner and I know he is one of the best surgeons in the world and has pioneered many of the techniques used by doctors worldwide. Just be sure and ask him questions like what his mortality rate is and what his infection rate is (it should be under 3%) and if you feel uncomfortable in ANY way let TriCare or whoever your insurance is and ask to be referred elsewhere. It's your surgery and your body so don't feel like you have to go somewhere you are uncomfortable. -Hope

No, I haven't heard of him either. Hope good luck with your surgery! I have an appointment with Tricare today to get my appointment set up with Dr Weiner. How long did it take you to get in for surgery from that point if you don't mind my asking? Which surgery are you having?

Hello I hope you do not mind me writing you. I have just found out they want to refer me to Dr. Hesse I was going to go to Dr. Weiner but for some reason tricare is wanting to change it. anyway you mentioned that you know this Dr. I really only think my main concern is I do not speak any german at all do you know if this is a problem with either communicating to the Dr or the staff at the hospital? I guess i am worried if i will be understood or not. tahnk you for your time and any information you can give me. Terri

Hello Terri, where are you in Germany? I don't konw why Tricare wants to change anything with Prof. Weiner? I had my surgery done there with Tricare last summer - it was great. I don't know about the staff in the hospital from Prof. Dr. Hesse - but I know for sure, that Prof. Weiner has alot more experience in this type of surgery than every other doctor in Germany. hi i am here in Stuttgart I think one of the main reasons would be Dr Hesse is only 15-20 mins from me instead of 2hrs. tricare kept my appt. with dr weiner on the 10th of Dec But set up an Appt on Nov 28th for me to talk to Dr hesse. so we will see how that goes. Terri

Hi Terri, I just started looking at this website. I had my surgery done by Prof Wiener in frankfurt on 3/20/07. I have not heard of your professor. Check with Elke at the mannheim Health Clinic-tricare, she is the knowledgeable one on who's doing what.
