april 20th!
One more week! Tricare drama is done and I go in next Thursday and have my surgery on Friday the 20th. I wasn't fortunate enough to meet Professor Weiner personally bc of some scheduling conflicts but I will next week. Meanwhile I am a bundle of nerves!!! And whats worse is me and my husband STILL don't know how to find the hospital in Frankfurt. UGH
But we are going to go out there this Sunday and see if we can get there on our own- last time we went someone else took us and it's harder when you aren't driving it yourself. Well time to do my happy dance- the new me will be here soon

Hi Stacie:
Just wanted to say hi and wish you all the best with your upcoming surgery!! I can imagine that you are so excited that you can hardly stand it.
Best of luck and feel free to email if you have questions for a post op. I had my RNY in 6/03 in the US. Am now here with my husband, stationed in Wiesbaden.
I am also pregnant and expecting 10/5/07. So far so good and no problems with the surgery and pregnancy.
Take care and keep us all posted!
Cheri
When do you go into the hospital? I have only been here since the end of Sept so lots of adjusting!! LOL
Where are you guys stationed at? Please let me know how you are doing and dont hesistate to get in touch if you need support, encouragement or just a shoulder. The first few weeks are pretty tough and sometimes you just need to talk to someone who has been there.
Take care and keep me posted!
Cheri
Thanks Cheri!
I live in Wiesbaden now- Hainerberg area. We got here at the end of November. My hubby is stationed in Dexheim but I didn't want to live there!!!
I go into the hospital this Thursday and have the RNY on Friday the 20th. The hospital is in Frankfurt. And they keep you in the hospital for 5-7 days. I am SO going to have cabin fever- I already get it sitting around the house all day lol. I really appreciate you reaching out. I will keep in touch and let you know how things go. I am very nervous because I know my life is about to seriously change. I hope it doesnt take long to adjust. Thanks again.
Thanks, I appreciate it. I got directions from someone that actually lives in Frankfurt and they were great! It was shorter, quicker and basically took me to the front door of the hospital. The directions that Tricare give are crap. Everyone I know says that they get lost because no one tells them about this Uturn you have to take. But I really appreciate the offer. And thanks for the support!
