hi this happened to me last year with a surgery, it was really stupid because i had the approval for a breat reduction and that all got paid for fine but tricare was not paying the hospital for my stay or a Dr who had to test some lumps they found in my breasts well i brought all the paperwork into the office and got the main office in the states on the phone and has to explain that it was all the on the surgery and after about 5 min of arguing it was all fine then tricare called all the collections people and explained to them what happend and everything was fine or yea and it for the Anestiatologists (spell???) bill too, but it is very important to make sure to react on the first notice because i was told that Tricare would not be responssible if it went to collections since it was my responsibility to inform them just a heads up in case you get anymore best of luck

With in the past month or so, I have gotten 3 statements from tricare and 2 collection notices from a German company, stating that I owe money to Dr Schultz. I've gone into the tricare office, and all the lady can tell me is that, this has been happing to alot of people, where claims are not being paid. Now they have to "look into whats going on".. Umm, How is this MY problem? I was told that this surgery along with all the after care is paid for 100%. Now im in collections cuz tricare is'nt doing there part. Am I the only one that this is going on with? I just feel like kicking someone in the knee cap right about now.. Uggh! This is not what I need right now! -Mary

Hi Neala, I had my WLS with dr shultz...i like him.hes kinda corky...if you have a question ask him he will give you an answer. He does the surgery LAP, I had LAP RYN....not sure what u are getting. The nurse staff and him are very pleasant ...did not have one bad thing to say about the stay..his secretary is another story, i feel she is rude and unhelpful. "the cleanser" is a tiny little cup with just a swollow in it and it doesnt taste bad at all, so dont stress over that, if you dont get "the runs" no worries they just want u to have at least 1 BM....i felt great before leaving the hospital and i have not had any problems ,complications since....it has been wonderful. I can eat anything, no problems.....i would say most definetly u would be ready for vacation a month out, but i am going by my experience...and i guess i recover fast and fine. where are you located? if you have more specific questions feel free to ask. best of luck and welcome to the losers bench! debbie

I have an initial appointment with Dr. Shultz on 10 April and would like any information on him and how long it takes to get things approved for the surgery date. Is he good at what he does? Does he do the lapscropsy way? I would like to know about the hospital and the stay. I had a day procedure at Krankenhaus but no overnight stuff. Did you have to do that colonic thing? I want to make sure I made a good decision on choosing him. How fast was recovery? In a month would I still be able to go on vacation? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Neala

Hey Mandy, I just had my surgery on Feb 6 with Dr Schultz. I went for my initial consult with him on Dec 10. It may not take as long for you. The way it worked for me is... First he mailed the letter to my patient liason ( 5 days), then they had to send it to get translated (10 days), once they got all of the information that is when they called to schedule the surgery. He was really nice. Any question that I asked he had an answer for. I had to go in a day before and stayed for 5 days after my surgery. My email is [email protected]. I'm new to the message board and I have an appointment with Dr Schutz on the 25th of March. Just wanted to find out any info on him and how long it normally takes from your initial appt to get the surgery done?
