Now that tricare covers lapband, I am wanting to start the ball rolling towards me getting this surgery. I am wondering which of the Dr's that are mentioned for over here do this surgery? Is there anyone here who can tell me how to begin the process towards the surgery when we are working with tricare?

I'm back home, getting stronger every day, and am already down 27 lbs in a bit over two weeks. Remarkable operation. I feel fine, no problems with the new stomach. The little guy is happy with the reduced amount I can put in there, not really all that hungry anymore. Perfect solution to an ugly problem. I have ten more days off then I go back to work.

I have seen on the board that there are others in my area, was hoping someone around here knew if VSG's could be covered. I did go and ask at patient liaison and all they could say is that they didn't know if any of the gastric bypass surgeons here do the VSG. It sounded like if they do it that we can get approved, but I am more confused now than before. Anyone know anything about what docs around here do this surgery?
