Dear Heather: The short answer for me is ...from the States... but I get in our commissary "Advant Edge-Carb Control" It has 17 gm of protein, 100 cal, and 0 sugar. They are next to the Slim Fast in many commissaries. I use them for lunch in school (I'm a teacher) when-ever I forget my lunch. Also this weekend I went to England and was able to get them there in the Commissary and had them for breakfast. I have always hated the smell of food in the morning, so my challenge has been having breakfast. I have solved it with protein shakes. I normally getfrom the brand SYNTRAX, a protein powder called NECTAR. My 2 favorite flavors are Cookies & Cream and Cappuccino. I mixed them with water, but have also mixed them with soy milk. I get them from netrition.com. In fact, I have gotten LOTS of sugar free products from them. I will be having my 6 month monthversary on June 6th and have lost 114 pounds so far. This has truly changed my life!!! Take care and have a GREAT surgery experience!! Brenda

Hey guys.... If all goes well I should have my surgery in July. My question is this, are you all ordering your protien stuff from the states or going on the economy? The PX here has a horrible selection of stuff, other than Slimfast which has too much sugar I think. So how are you all getting your protien supplements? Ideas please...

As far as I know they only approve the RNY. Call the local Tricare and get it from the source. Good Luck

Hi Terri, I just started looking at this website. I had my surgery done by Prof Wiener in frankfurt on 3/20/07. I have not heard of your professor. Check with Elke at the mannheim Health Clinic-tricare, she is the knowledgeable one on who's doing what.
