The appointment was quick. It went very well however. I got a little paranoid because the nurse who took my height measurements took them with my shoes on. My heels were like an inch and a half. I was remeasure and it didn't make much different anyway, because it only gave me one more centimeter. (Just wanted to make sure I made the cut). Dr. Weiner looks just like his picture on the web. I just thought that was funny. -O-
I got a date! June 28, 2006.
Now I hope Tricare doesn't let me down. I'll keep you updated about that. Anyway, wow! Thanks for checkin up on me...

Congrats on your surgery date. Did he tell you to do the liquid diet 2 weeks prior to surgery? I had to do the same thing. The next 4 weeks will go by fast, it will be here before you know it. Let me know if you have any questions about the surgery or the hospital stay.

I have a surgery date ---06/28/2006--. Today was my evaluation and I feel pretty confident about the surgery. Dr. Weiner described that my stay at the hospital -post-op- will more likely be a hotel stay. He encourages that I get up and get out... walk around the neighborhood; enjoy the sights. I was surprised that the hospital is right next to the Rhine River... Anyway... he touched on the liquid diet and that be the only challenge I expect to face. So I am training my mind to realize that the liquid diet is the answer to better healing. Hey, thanks for you thoughts... keep me posted and as questions come my way... I'll throw them your way.

Hi Ladies. I am in Wiesbaden. I am interested in learning more about plastic surgery options while here in Germany.
I PCS in Apr 07 so I'm thinking of starting this process soon....And maybe being able to have them by Oct/Nov/Dec...
If you had plastic surgery, did tricare support you or give you a hard time, and if you did what did you have....
AND,....if you have names ( city/location) of the plastic surgeons (let me know if you would recommend them..) that too would be most helpful. I'm setting up an appt in about 3 wks to go talk to my PCM and all the insight i could have on people in the are would be helpful.

Hi to you all in Germany. I am not there but wish I was. I come from a little town down the rode from Dexheim.. I'm sure you all know where that is...... My sister lives in Bechtolsheim. she has a winery. You should go and visit. It is called Wein Gut Lutz. If you want more info let me know. I had my surgery Jan.31,2006 and doing well. I sure hope you all enjoy Germany..... Lots to see and do. Take advantage of the time you have there. Talk to you all soon.. Ellie
