Hello Jacqueline, Dr. Weiner is wonderful. He and his staff are very friendly. He will answer all the questions you have. I made myself a list of questions to ask him before I went. Hi! I'm new. Just PCS'd here to Ramstein 2 mos. ago from North Carolina. My story kinda sux, because after waiting over a year to have the WLS done at WAMC... We get orders to Europe and I had to start from scratch. However, thank goodness Tricare Europe has been extremely efficient. I was an exchange student in West Germany 1984-85 school year and I did not see many over weight German's. I think they know the secret - -exercise - - and portion control and just eating healthier. When I was there, we ate at the table together - - at home, and not at all the restaurants like we do in the States. When food is prepared at home, you know what goes into it. When the restaurants fix it - - they want it to taste good - - however much they must put in it extra. When I was there, we rode bikes, walked - - did more sports, had basically more exercise scheduled into our daily routine. In the States -- everyone seems to busy that exercise and slowing down long enough to eat a healthy meal and actually enjoy it seems like a challenge. We can learn a lot from taking the time for family, to eat together at home, and not depend on fast food, cars, etc. all the time.
