Topic: RE: Dr. Rudolph Weiner Patients
Hello Jacqueline, Dr. Weiner is wonderful. He and his staff are very friendly. He will answer all the questions you have. I made myself a list of questions to ask him before I went. I even put questions on there my husband and kids had. Good for you to taking the step to a better life and being prepared. If you have further questions, contact me. Good luck to you. A friend told me that he has my picture posted up there (not sure where). I am the incredible shrinking woman (same man, new woman). Having this surgery was the best thing I could have done!!! Take care and have a great day. Sabine -170

Hi Joi, I'm a pre-op going through the motions. Thought I'd drop you the name of the surgeon Tricare assigned to me. I feel very confident that he can help you, for based on my reading... he seems to be the "go-to" guy on the subject of bariatric surgery. http://www.profweiner.com/default.htm http://www.obgyn.net/meet.asp?page=/all_advisors/R_Weiner http://obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/bariatric+surgeon+profile+Rudolf+Weiner+MD+jbk.html I hope this is helpful! Hi! I'm new. Just PCS'd here to Ramstein 2 mos. ago from North Carolina. My story kinda sux, because after waiting over a year to have the WLS done at WAMC... We get orders to Europe and I had to start from scratch. However, thank goodness Tricare Europe has been extremely efficient. For I have a consultation appointment scheduled for May 29th with Dr. Rudolf Weiner in Frankfurt. I invite you to follow-me during my journey. Any advice or encouragement is very welcome. Here's a link to another forum I joined for support. I'm pretty excited to have found a forum here in Germany. AND in english for that matter (lol). http://www.thinnertimesforum.com/showthread.php?t=8833

Hi Heather! I'm in Spangdalhem now. We were at Rhein Main until last summer.......I'm having my plastics done on the 24th of this month in Frankfurt though ;) Dr. Edleman. Let me say, I wish I still lived in Frankfurt going through this cause my poor girlfriend who's coming down with me (hubby's deploying this week) is gonna have to stay in a hotel by herself cause they won't let her stay in the clinic with me Plus all of the follow ups, the 2 1/2 hr drive isn't gonna be fun on the way home Please keep in touch! It's nice to have someone here in Germany to talk to Kay Lap RYN 04/14/04 263/150 goal/133 lbs after 10 months and holding steady

I was an exchange student in West Germany 1984-85 school year and I did not see many over weight German's. I think they know the secret - -exercise - - and portion control and just eating healthier. When I was there, we ate at the table together - - at home, and not at all the restaurants like we do in the States. When food is prepared at home, you know what goes into it. When the restaurants fix it - - they want it to taste good - - however much they must put in it extra. When I was there, we rode bikes, walked - - did more sports, had basically more exercise scheduled into our daily routine. In the States -- everyone seems to busy that exercise and slowing down long enough to eat a healthy meal and actually enjoy it seems like a challenge. We can learn a lot from taking the time for family, to eat together at home, and not depend on fast food, cars, etc. all the time.
