You may think your grandkids are the prettiest in the world but lookout cause I know mine are!!!!!!! I have a Bragging Rites licence and I use it a lot. Beware cause I carry pictures!!!!!!!! The oldest one is 14 and is a strawberry-blonde with blue eyes. The little one is 3 and has brown eyes and dark,straight brown hair down to her waist.They are my heart! The BRAC (a four letter word in these parts) Commision may force my son-in-law to relocate to Indianappolis, Indiana. If they go, I go. My husband said he didn't want to move to snow country. I'm sure gonna miss him!!!!! No, seriously he's all for moving as we are both retired and he'd miss them something terrible. I just wish I had more of them!!!

I am new to this board. I have 2 grandchildren who live in South Carolina. Our son passed away last Sept 3rd. He left the 2 children, Abigail who is 4 and Joseph who is 6. I know what you mean its hard when the grandchildren do not live in the area. They did stay with us for a week this past June. Our other granddaughter Katie who is 6 lives with us. We have joint custody with her dad. Her mom (our daughter) has suppervised visits. Katie will be going into 2nd grade. Joseph into 1st grade. I believe Abby is going to pre-school. . I am pre-op. I am going to have the lap band. I met with my Dr.. He gave me a list of things I have to do before surgery. I met with the psch. I have one more visit next thursday. I had my colonoscopy. Been to one mandatory meeting and one support group meeting. I have 2 more to go to. I have to loose 10 pounds which I think is the worst part. The Dr. told me if I lost 20 lbs that I would go under 200lbs. I weigh 286 lbs now. I am 5'8". If anyone has any ideas to loose the weight before the surgery. I know exercise. I have arthritis bad so have a hard time walking a lot. Tonight my husband and I are going to walk a little. Take Care; Phyllis

I went to get my grandson from the day care, I think I need to go to work there. I fell in love with all the babies there.

Hi, Peggy: I noticed you lived in Santa Cruz. I live in Mt. Hermon - in the redwoods. I'll be coming home the first of JUly. I had the lap band surgery in South CA in May. We have quite a Monterey Bay support going, I have also a private baech home on Pot Belly Beach, between New Brighton and Seacliff. I hope to have a huge beach party in mid July or August for all WLS patients. I have none granddaughter who lives in P ortland She is a pistol - is 5 years old now. She loves coming to Santa Cruz and slop aroudn the beach and the redwood creeks. HOpe to meet you - - Barb
