Topic: My Grandchildren
Hello,
I have 6 beautiful grandchildren, Courtney 19, Brittney 17, Anthony 14, Jacob 8, Lexi 6, and the baby Neal 6 months. Then I have a great grand daughter, Destinee Joy months, she belongs to my eldest granddaughter, Courtney and her daddy is Ryan..they make a cute family! I live in Miane and most of my grandkids and their daddy lives back in Illinois..he says one more and he is done..lol..he has the 3 youngest ones 8,6,5 months and he is 35. 2 middle ones live in Illinois with their grand father and his wife and then Courtney and her family live up here close by.
We go back to Illinois once and sometimes 2 times a year and I hope to have my WLS before we make the trip again..lol.I have not told them about the WLS and want to surprise them..woohoo!! Won't they be surprised??~ then my daughter and her hubby live up here with us and she is excited that I am finally going to get my life back and will be able to walk a distance without having to stop and rest, among all the other stuff someone that is at a healthy weight can do.
I love my grandkids to death..lol..and of course they all get their fair share of spoiling from GRammy and Grampy CR. 
Will be awesome to take them roller skating like I used to do when I was smaller (as a kid that is) or maybe go out and run and play with them. Am so looking forward to having a great time with all of them!!

MY SON AND HIS WIFE ARE GOING TO HAVE A BABY!!! THIS WILL BE MY 1ST GRANDBABY...AND ITS GOING TO BE A GIRL ..DUE THE END OF JULY2005..IHOPE TO HAVE SURG. BEFORE THEN.GOD BLESS EVERYONE..CANDY..

Lives in Portland OR and I live in CA. I try to see her adn swim with her at least every 2 or three months. I told my son to tell her I was going to the Dr. and I'd be back. However, to her the Dr. just gives shots adn since Jan my surgery has been delayed to March 23. I told my son he's have to tell her my fat tummy was being fixed and it would take longer to get well and I'd be a better swimmer for her. I hope to get Lap Banded and back to Portland by June or so. Any other Bandsters out there? How long did it take you to recover and go and play again?

Hi, I am in the exact same boat. I live in upstate New York and two of my daughters and their families moved to Atlanta last spring. I can't tell you how hard it was to adjust to them being gone. I have a total of 10 grandkids, and 7 of them now live in the Atlanta area almost 1000 miles away from me. We spend lots of time on the computer and on the phone, but it's not the same as getting all those hugs and kisses from the kids. If it's any consolation, it does get a little better. I cried my eyes out the first couple of months and I fly down every chance I get. They are coming to visit for Easter in a few weeks so I'm looking forward to that.

when a child is born....so is a grandma ,thats beautiful! where did you get it? Its true God said that Grandchildren are our reward, They are! I love my Grandsons so much, I don't know how I ever got along without them. I wish I could have them before I had my children.
They are so much more fun.
I can just love them. I feel bad for grandparents that can't be with their grandchildren. I would just die if I couldn't be near them. there's so much I could go on forever. I just know that my Grandchildren changed my life forever.I am so blessed.

No need to, my grandson is Sabastian, he's 14 months old. I don't believe I've ever loved anyone or anything more in my life. He's the reason I had my WLS. He's the reason I want to live a long full life. I want to see him grow and marry and give me great-grandchildren.

hi! i live in ct., my son and his family moved to atlanta last aug. he's in graduate school there. i used to have my grandson once or twice a week. he's 2.5. since they've moved, my 2nd grandson was born in nov. i miss them so much. goig to see them gets to be expensive, and i'm not able to get away from work that often. i have one son, so i really feel the loss. i probably sound like i'm whining. their intent is to settle somewhere in that area, or n.c. i can't move anywhere for at least a couple of years, so i feel like i'm missing so much of my grandchildren's lives. there's not much i can do, except for calling, e-mailing, and taking a flight down to see them whenever i can.

I had surgery on the 8th. I have lost 25 lbs. And I wasn't sure if I could do it but I sure did lay down in the floor to put together a train and continuously put it back on the track for my 3 year old grandson. He was so happy, and so was I. They surely are precious. He tells me that he loves me 5 holding up his hand, and I love him 5 too so we love each other 10. He has 2 sisters and says he wants 5. I guess 5 is the number, LOL. I have 2 Grandsons, ages 3 & 4, and 2 Grandaughters. Ages 2 and three weeks.

Hi Cynthia. I know just what you mean. My grandson just turned 7 yesterday on Thanksgiving. It was also my DH and my 37th wedding anniversary. Our other grandson is 3 years old, and since my surgery the end of April, I am now able to really play with them. Thank you, Lord. I hope I will be around to grandmother them for a long time.
I love your saying: "When a child is born....so is a grandma!" I never realized it would be so wonderful. Here is to many years of playing with our grandchildren.
