First, can I just say that today is my 1 year surgiversary?  I'm so grateful to be in this place!

Anyway, to answer the question, I guess I just try to make the healthiest choice I can given the menu.  I also record what I ate so that those calories don't get "forgotten."

I don't remember exactly when I realized it, but I remember my friend telling me that I looked normal.  Now, one could have taken that comment negatively, I knew what she meant, and it felt really, really good to hear it from someone else.  I think I was down about 70 or 80 pounds at that point, and wearing regular (as opposed to plus) sizes.

I am late....

I started the challenge at 181 and this morning I was 184.  WTF?  I am changing my goal weight to 179 instead of 175.  I do NOT know what is going on here. 

My husband did not weigh this morning like I told him to so put him down for 210 again.

My question for you today is this.

When you're stuck without healthy choices, what do you choose? 

DH and I were stuck at the Oklahoma City Airport this weekend, waiting to fly out thanks to Ike.  All they had were fast food places.  I ended up getting a grilled chicken sandwich and just ate the chicken.  I guess it wasn't too bad, but it wasn't enjoyable either LOL.

The first time I went to the movies and I didn't touch the sidesof the seat and I didn't have to sit with my arms crossed.

I have not lost anything since June.  I have only lost 10 pounds since March.  I exercise at least 4 days a week, but have vowed to kick that up.  I have not made a mini challenge goal since January.

Ok ladies.  I'm basing this off of my personal experience over the weekend.  I was flying, and sitting in the middle seat between my husband and another man (woohoo! LOL).  The topic of comfort came up, and the other man mentioned one time that he was flying and was seated next to a m.o. woman, who was taking up more than just her seat.  He wasn't rude about it, or judging.  He actually said that he was happy that they moved his seat, as she would be more comfortable as well.  What this made me realize, however, is that I'm officially normal!  LOL  Meaning, that if I was still considered obese in the eyes of the public, I doubt he would have brought that story up.  So... now for the question.

When did you realize that you're "normal"?

 goal  150
mini goal    220
I want to get my exercise routine consistant, and  I don't know if this is a realistic goal or not, but I am going to give it my best shot!

Hey there!  It's been a while since I've had the time to check in at OH.  I did not make my Labor Day Mini Challenge, in fact I missed it by 5 pounds.  Now that it is more than 2 weeks since Labor Day, I've finally lost the other 5 pounds...  I think!!!  I can't tell what I weight anymore.  Today was my lowest weight at 224.6, but I usually get on the scale and it is between 227 and 229.

Sooooooo...

Current weight ???  224.6
Goal weight 220

And trust me, at the rate I'm going, losing those 4.6 pounds is a push!!!  Well... not to mention that it could actually be more like 9 pounds.  I hate my scale!!!

Unfortunately I am not doing a very good job at losing weight and am down to about 5 pounds per month and am only 4 months out now.  Surgery was May 13th, and I've lost a whopping 42.4 pounds according to my doctors office.  Apparently, they are going off of a high weight of 267, whereas I was going off of a highest weight of 274.  I guess since they are the professionals, they would know better than I would!
