I guess my first stall was at just about 4 weeks out. It only lasted a couple of weeks and seems to have established my losing pattern from then on out. That is, I lose for a couple of weeks, then nothing for a couple of weeks. That's how it's been all along. Since the beginning of June, the losses have slowed down quite a bit but, with the exception of a couple of weeks ago, I've been going down steadily still. (I had a 3 pound gain literally overnight, which I attribute to fluids.) I have always maintained a food log, exercised at least 4x/week, plus weights at least twice weekly, attended monthly support group meetings, and tried to drink as much water as I can (that's been the toughest part for me).
I don't think that we can prevent stalling. I think our bodies need that time to "catch up" with the pounds lost. I think we must keep following all the rules during this time. If we let the stalls get to our heads, we will most likely stop doing all the right things because we get discouraged, which, as we all know, will snowball into gained weight.

This stall has been about three months. I know I need to get back to journaling, back off the carbs, and change up my exercise routine. I just can't seem to get myself in hand about it. Jules

I'll make an extra side for the guys, but mostly we eat the same. Jules

I don't know about a favorite food, they're all good. My favorite drink is hot cocoa. I have it twice a day. Mmmmm Jules

We put up a flag pole and fly the US flag. As a young adult, I never gave it much thought. Now, I know how precious these fighting men and women are! Jules

I think I have finally hit a stall after 8 months, the scale just seems to be stuck at the same number. I write down everything I eat, and have just started to incorporate exercise into my life, so I am hoping that this stall wont be very long at all.

Nah - I think that when we lose so fast, it's near impossible to tighten the loose skin - but better loose skin than morbid obesity!!
