So I decided to start using the Daily Plate today. WOW. Talk about putting things into perspective. It made me wonder how I'm supposed to follow my nut's plan, when even her sample menus go over her ratio.
Her plan was to eat 70% protein, 20% carb and 10% fat. Today, my carbs almost equaled my protein. It appears my apple really did my in, with 22g of carbs, and my protein shake was an added 15g. Let me share the rest.
B: hardboiled egg and a lf stick of cheddar cheese
S: protein shake
L: 2% fage with PB2
S: almonds and an apple
D: peanut butter on WW whole wheat bread
S: soy crisps
Now here's my problem. I'm on campus from 8 this morning until 10 tonight. I need to have everything with me. I thought this was a relatively healthy day, but now I'm not so sure.
So here's the (buried) question. When you decide to cut back on carbs, do you ignore the ones that we need (like the protein shake) and cut back elsewhere (no apple for me)? Even so, my protein shake would take up all if not more of that 20%.
This is what I get for paying attention.
LOL

Hey Lea!
I had a weight loss after my period, finally! So I'm down to 143!
I'll update my goal if I reach it beofre New Years, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up! I seem to go without losing weight for a few weeks and then it drops fast. No matter! It's still coming off!

I agree with Vanishing Vixen! I got the surgery so I dont have to drive myself crazy with diets. I know that if I have something that probably isnt the best choice in the world then I need to double up on the protien. Thankfully I have been a one bitter quitter! I am satisfied with just tasting stuff I dont need a huge amount of it to feel like I am satisfied. Thanksgiving I will be on the road, we are moving from Cali to NY so I dont have to worry too much about that, We will probably stop at a denny's or something like that. For Christmas we will probably still be in Temporary Lodging and that doesnt have a kitchen so I wont be making my honey ham this year! Unfortunatly where Im moving they closed down the denny's there, so I think my only other option will be a hole in the wall diner ( not good for us WLS people!) Hopefully we will meet some nice people when we get there that will invite us over! We have friends there but thier hubbys are all deployed so they all are going home.....unless I can convince them to let me cook in there kitchen
LOL!

Sounds like fun!!
'Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid insideways ... half a bottle of vodka in one hand ... a fat cigar in the other... a body thoroughly used up and totally worn out ... and screaming;'whooooohooooo what a ride'!'
