I've been trying to get online to do this for TWO days!!  I really did not mean to be late and I certainly didn't forget.  We've just had internet "issues" of some sort.  But, all seems to be working again, though still at the wonderful "speed" of dialup!

SO, we're one week into our New Year's round of the mini-challenge...  How are you doing???

Current challengers--please post your current weight AND your goal weight for New Year's just in case I haven't caught it yet.

Past challengers who'd like to rejoin--please post your current weight AND your goal weight for New Year's.

New folks---please post your highest weight, your current weight, AND your goal weight for New Year's AND your surgery date if you are postop.  Preops and nonops are always welcome too!
Hugs,
Lea

I've just had two consults with plastic surgeons within the last couple of weeks.  I'm looking to have my arms and tummy done.  Looks like it will be a full circumferential lower body lift and arms.  One doc won't do both procedures together.  The other will, but he's further from home.  I'm very torn right now.  First, this is purely cosmetic (except for the rashes).  It's not going to cure the things that the RNY did like the hypertension and prediabetes, so is it really necessary?  Second, although I liked the local doc much more, I can't afford to take more time off from work, which would be necessary if I broke up the procedures over 2 surgeries.  So I'm really betwixt and between right now.  If money was no object, I'd also go back and do my breasts and inner thighs, but I think that's not going to happen in this lifetime.

I'm thinking that I just want to eat like a normal person this Holiday season.  Normal meaning indulging but not too much, not overthinking everything, etc.  That's why I had this surgery - to be normal.  LOL  It's been my philosophy so far (like when I have a wedding to go to) and it works.  I stay on track the day before, and the day after, so if I have a few bites of pumpkin pie, it's not going to kill me.  And I'll make sure to up my exercise too, just as a backup.

Highest: 315 ~ Surgery: 296 ~ Current: 177.8 ~ Goal: 165

I've always thought no..but after attending the OH event in Los Angeles I might have plastics.  Dr. Katzen gave a really good talk.  If money wasn't an issue, of course.  I'm a real chicken though..I'd have to psyche myself up for the pain issues.
