Hi, my name is Kim and I'm preop (just barely)  My surgery date is May 5th!
I live in Lancaster Pa and have been doing Civil War reenacting with my son  for 7 years.  I do all my own clothing and my sons.  I also do sewing and bonnet making for a shop in Gettysburg Pa.    My son works at the shop doing leather.  I was kind of surprised to find other reenactors on this web site.  I'm really excited about getting into smaller clothes and even have fabrics set aside for when I get smaller. I've got lots of patterns for large sizes   the first time I took dresses up to the shop in large sizes you should have seen the look on the owners face.  I don't think he had any idea how fast they would sell.

I had WLS 8 weeks ago and have my first Ren Faire coming up in 4.5 weeks. Right now I have a corset that fits and a bodice that can be taken in to fit. But in 4 weeks, who knows. Now I am a professional costumer, so I make costumes for everything from faire, theatre to films, so it's not a matter of being able to make a new costume each faire, but it's the time. What did you all do durring the loosing time? Go to a Sir Coat or what? Thanks

*mutter* Not this year. I had a blast the one time I made it out there. Hopefully I'll make it back again sometime.

Hi, I'm also involved in the SCA in Northwest Ohio. I had been the seneschal for my local canton but had to give it up a couple of months ago bedause I just am not as mobile as I used to be. I am in the process of trying to get the surgery, unfortunately I am having a set back because my PCP is absolutely against me having the surgery and has told me if I get it done, I need to seek a new pcp because she will no longer care for me. No big deal. I had only seen her twice, but it sucks trying to find a new physician. Rhonda Anderson
