Hello all and a Howdy Do!!!

My son 15 has Asperger Syndrom (it's on the Autism spectrum very high functioning) mild Tourettes and OCD. It is quite a challenge now that he is a teen to decide what is typical teen "crap" and what is his disability. I don't want to punish for disability but I don't want him to get away with the "crap" and think it is ok so I address everything and go from there. Janice

Hello Jennifer! I am hoping to have surgery after the end of May, so I can have the summer to recoup and not have it conflict with schooling. My son will be 7 in July, and starting 3rd grade curriculum in the Fall, so I hope to be complication free and ready to jump into a new school year! I'm doing this for my kids, as much for myself. I am not a good example when it comes to eating and exercise...I want my kids to be fit and healthy! I just found this board...I hope more join in. ~Elizabeth
