new to the board

Hi, I'm glad I found this board . I just had my RNY done on 4/16 and am working on getting fit and healthy. I can't wait to start riding again. I have ridden off and on since I was a teenager, took lessons here and there as my parents would let me. I'm looking for a place to take lessons at, but all the stables I used to ride at are all out of business now. I have found one stable but have to own my own horse. I am planning on getting one eventually, as soon as I get some of my financial stuff taken care of. I would like to be able to do some riding before then though, cuz I haven't been on for like 5 years now. I just got too big and getting on and off was hard and not fair for the horse to lug me around. I wanted to work with horses as a career, but my parents pretty much did everything they could to discourage that, so I just kind of gave up on it. Don't know if it will happen now, but we'll see.
