Hi, I am new to this board, I was checking out the May board when I noticed the link for the Horses Message Board (I guess I picked it as an interest when I registered). I thought hey I should check that out! I dont currently own a horse, though I have in the past. My daughter competed on the Hunter/Jumper circuit here in MI. She turned 14 and her social life took priority. I think we would both like to get back into it (I never rode before, too heavy). I am trying to sell her old jumper saddle (a Beval Devon 2000 15 1/2") I listed it on E-Bay, but that doesnt seem to be working very well. Do any of you have a suggestion of a good place to sell saddles?

Hey Cary, Welcome to the board, and sorry I posted this so long after the original. Just been busy, but thats a horse owners life. Well you could put your saddle on cosignment at Sporthorse Saddlery there in New Hudson (Grandriver and Milford Rd.). Or at Northville Saddlery (7mile and Northiville Rd.) or at Franklin Saddler in Franklin (13 mile and Franklin rd.). And this is the time of seaon many people start looking. And if you still have it I can ask a few friends if they are in need of one for a younger child. My friends and I are all into pleasure horses, not Dressage and stuff. Yeah alot of us are hunters so I may be able to help ya out some. Had my lil sis not sprouted over the past couple years It would have fit her great, but now shes in a 17" And im in a 18 1/2". But let me know how much you are asking, tree size, and gullet opening size. Or what breed it was mainly used on. If you still have it available. Nicole

I have done very well on ebay but you can also send it on consignment to a tack store ( maybe even bevals in NJ by me!) It's important to take clear photos, describe the condition very well and price it accordingly. A 15 1/2" is not very big at all, so you may also try calling a few local lesson barns and offering it for sale.
