Hi Everybody, My name is Cheryl, I live in Artesia, New Mexico, I'm researching RNY and plan to have my surgery as soon as secondary insurance kicks in. I have one child (a son), age 14 and a wonderful husband. We own 4 horses, 21 year old AQHA mare, 6 year old AHC mare, 4 year old AHC mare and our newest member Schematic 16.2 hand tall, 2 year old AHC stallion from Canada. We started our farm in 2003 and hope to grow. I started showing western pleasure when I was 14 years old and still do at the tender age of 44 LOL. We just got Schemer back from a trainer that started him and rode him for 14 days. I had my first ride on Schemer 3 days ago and plan to get 30 more rides on him before he goes on vacation for the winter. We will start our breeding program in late February 2006. My goal for 2006 is to get RNY surgery and Hit the AHC show circuit with Schemer to win a ROM title. Pictures coming soon.

I have an approved Friesian stallion named Dante. Next to my husband, he is like a soul mate! People think I am crazy, but we have a bond and I have never bonded with any other horse like this. We have 24 horses!!! Love riding now!!

Hi Lisa! Thanks for your well wishes!!! It was absolutely awsome... I had the best time ever. And.... thanks for wishing me well this next Spring! I will have to take things slowly as I haven't ridden for so long and I think that my age is starting to catch up with me where having the "nerve" to ride is concerned... I notice little anxiety attacks when I start to think about things too much. I wasn't afraid of anything or any horse when I was younger!!!! Hi Jack! Thank you for you wishes... they did come true!!!! It was awsome. I told my hubby that the only thing that would have made the evening any better would have been in they picked me out of the audience to get out there with those fabulous steeds!!!! Karen, that is so wonderful!! I am so happy for you! I wonder if they will make it to Oregon. I doubt it, but will definitely be on the look-out! What a fabulous birthday gift. I, too love dressage.
