Topic: RE: Hi Diana and Lori
Hi Jim. I'm just wondering if you have progressed in your journey as of now?
Do you have an orientation date yet?
I have a date on the 3rd of June. Good luck and let us know.

Right on Mari! It will be fun to finally meet you! Whoo Hoo!!! I work for a school district too and Sept would be a bad bad month for me to take time off. So, it looks like we will be having surgery around the same time! Probably August I am guessing. If you have gallstones, they will remove your gallbladder during surgery. I had mine removed way back in 1992, 11 days after my son was born! Harriet said that the nutritional counseling people will call us 2 months before our surgery. We get to meet someone from the counseling office at the orientation. Another person I communicate with is having his orientation the same day as us. We will all get to meet! He works for a school district too! I am so excited for us!!!
Take care,
Lori

Dear Lori,
I got the same letter you did!!!! June 3rd!!!! I'm so excited and I'm looking forward to meeting you. I heard that they book about 6 weeks out from the orientation. I am so thrilled because I start teaching on September 6th, and so I hope I will not have to miss any or very few work days!!
I did find out that I have gall stones, so from what I have heard, they will probably take them out? Anyone know?
Have you heard anything about when you(we) should start the 3 month nutrition counselling? Soon I suppose.
Joyous Mari

Things are going faster than I had thought they would go. I am done with most of the testing all I have is to return the urinalysis and 2 things(1 for sleep apnea and a chest x ray) both scheduled for the same day... I have already met with the sw and she said its a go on her end... So, I wait, but with each yes I get more and more excited. I know it is just a tool to help us but I honestly see it, as you do, as a new beginning, a fresh outlook on life... YIPPEE!!

Is finally scheduled! Yeah! I am soooo excited! My appt is June 3. I will get my surgery date that day which is generally 2 months later. So I think I am probably looking at an August 2005 date!! Whoo hoo!!! I am still in a bit of shock. Can't believe it is finally happening!

Topic: RE: Clothing Exchange - Tacoma
Hi Diana!
Yes, I was serious about teaching you to use the equipment!
I found 3 blouses and one sweat shirt that fit! And I will be bringing the rest to the exchange on Tuesday.
My 32nd Anniversary is the 28th so I now have something new and nice to wear to dinner that night.
Thank You!
Carol
PS... sorry it took so long to answer this... my mouse died! Had to borrow one from my brother and I just got it today. CLS

I'm replying to myself because I want to say thanks to Carol for exchanging clothes with me. I hope you found some that you like and that fit. Yours are mostly too big for me but I did find a few that I like. Thank you!
It was fun to see you working the audio equipment at church. That really fascinates me. Have always thought it would be cool to work in a recording studio. I'm not sure if you were serious about teaching me but if so I might take you up on that or at least jus****ch you do your thing one night.
See ya soon!

Topic: Clothing Exchange - Tacoma
Just a reminder that there will be a free clothing exchange at the next Tacoma support group meeting on Tuesday, April 26th at 6:30 pm. Here's an exerpt from Jackie's post on the Yahoo site:
"We will devote the first portion (maybe the first 45-60 minutes, if
needed) for 'shopping'. We are scheduled to be back in the double
conference rooms (2&3). I will hopefully get into the rooms at
least 1/2 hour early to set up 'size' stations.
Please start going through your closets looking for items that you
no longer use. Please bag them up and prepare to bring them with
you.
I'd like to get an idea of how much participation to expect. I hope
there will be a great deal. Please let me know.
Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions. I look
forward to hearing from you.
Take care, Jackie"
I'm too lazy to retype so copy and pasted instead. Hope to see you there!
Love Diana
