Well, my situation was a little unique because my coverage was going to end, so he squeezed me in before the end of the year. You're right. This place needs to be livened (is that a word? it looks funny) up. Therefore, I replied to the last three posts that hadn't been replied to yet. I guess I need to visit here more often. Love Diana

Hi Mari. Try this website: http://www.pageresource.com. There are tons of tutorials out there to teach you HTML, the language (or whatever it's called) that is used to manipulate, update, spruce up (whatever) your profile. This link http://www.pageresource.com/html/image4.htm takes you straight to the topic of image resizing. Good luck. Love Diana

Congratulations Jerry. Doesn't it make a huge difference when you get that date? It did for me. Good luck with losing some weight before then. I think that's a new requirement now. You're in good hands with Dr. Bock. I don't know if you eat much fast food, but I totally cut that out and it helped a lot. After I watched the movie "Super Size Me," it made it pretty easy to do. Congratulations again! Diana

Topic: From start to surgery date...
Just thought I would post a question on here and liven this place up a bit. Here is my question: How long did it take you to get a surgery date with Dr. Bock? I am waiting to be scheduled for orientation and am wondering how long I will wait until I get a surgery date. Take care friends! Lori

My son just told me how to do it. First make sure you have a picture of you on your computer. Then go to PHOTODUMP.com and register. Click on Upload. Next browse and find your picture and upload it. Copy the FILE NAME. Go to this website and update "Your Profile". Post the FILE NAME into the URL box. I hope this works for you. I need to figure out how to make the pictures smaller however. Mari

Hi Jim! I work for FWSD and Harriet also told me that they may not cover the operation after Oct. 1, so they will get me in before that time. Maybe all the teachers should get together and petition them and say how important it is to continue coverage. I wonder if it is a WEA group plan or each district does their own plan. What do you think? I emailed Harriet last week, told her that I have all my "list" completed except that I have to wait until 4/29 for the Pulmonary Dr., and she responded the next day. She answered that I should start the weight management program/nutrition counselling 2-3 months in advance (the paperwork says 12 weeks?) She did not give me an orientation date or surgery date yet, so I'm not sure when to start...probably will be in late May. Sounds like a few of us are in this together! Mari

Hi, I've got my date... May 24th, Dr. Bock says no gaining weight and I have to get my blood sugars down by then. No more "last time" treats. Jerry

I'm happy for you too; I just want to dance. Actually, I just said that so I can use the little dancing dudes I think are so cute. Must be nice not to get sick. I went through a bunch of clothes already and have about four Trader Joe's paper bags full so far (I love their bags with handles). I still have more to go through. I guess it's going to be a while before the next meeting, so if you want I can make arrangements with you if you'd like before then if you wear 3X or 4X. Then we could bring whatever is leftover to the meeting. Let me know. Love Diana

I don't know if you have to have the NC paid for before the orientation. But you do have to have it paid for a minimum of 12 weeks prior to your surgery date. Since most people have the orientation about 2 months before surgery, then, yes, you would need to have paid it off. They do take payments. You can explain to them that you will need to make payments over time and you could probably get your orientation/surgery scheduled when you have it paid off. I have found them really easy to work with. Good luck!!! Lori 270/270/1??
