Themes
I know its been a while since you posted this, but I have an answer nonetheless.
I have a theme for each room. I sell decorating gifts and accessories for a well known company (email me if you'd like more info on that) and there are too many themes I like to just settle on one for the whole house. I live in an apt and have run out of rooms, but will hopefully have a house soon and there are more themes I'd like to add.
My bedroom's theme is angels
my living room is country casual (pics of horses, figurines of dogs, roosters, farm equip, etc.),
my bathroom is americana/patriotic
and my dining room has a country charm w/ apples and roosters
my office is mostly safari

I never knew they had different message boards cool idea. I have a theme for the whole house. I have managed to decorate my whole house in flea market and yard sale finds and made over furniture, I paint also, so alot of my things are painted white and every room in my house is filled with white furniture and lots of roses. Pinks, greens and white. Its all Shabby Chic! I love it and being divorced and living alone makes it great for a girly house. Nice talking to you!
