Got Allah?
As Salaam Alaykum
I am posting cause aint nothing on this board. I know there are some muslims here other than myself. A closet muslim? A wanna-be muslim? Someone who is a lil "muslim-ish"?
I would like to see come dialogue. Say something...make a dua. Ask a question...give your favorite quranic verse...tell us about the muslim guy at work and ask all the questions here that you wanted to ask him...ask the question you have been fearful of asking a muslim.
Muslims, you ask the question you have been fearful of asking muslim. Please somebody say something.
May Allah rightly guide you all. Ameen
(this is not a ninja. this is a muslimah in niqab)

As Salam Alekom Nia!!!!
It's sad there arn't more people posting here. I am from Utah, USA, but met a family online about 3 years ago who are from Egypt. They are Muslim and invited me to come to Egypt to visit. I went last summer in August. It was the best trip I've ever gone on. I learned soooooo much!!!!
I am now learning Arabic and reading the Quaran and they are teaching me via the internet. I have so many questions, that it would take pages and pages to write them all. But, I'm glad to see you invite everyone to post. It's a great idea!!!!
Be good sister!! Talk with you soon!!
Tami~ (Habbiba)
SubhanAllah, Tami. I am glad to know you are researching Allah's religion. InshaAllah, if you have questions, I will try to help. If I do not know the answer, I will try to get information for you.
Do you have any intentions for being muslim? Now is a good time to do so!! Since there are so few people here...
...just looking around the room, feel free to ask some of your questions. InshaAllah. I look forward to hearing from you.
May Allah guide you to the right path and make you to be amongst those upon whom He has bestowed His favor. I ask Allah to protect you from anything Shaytan and his agents may have planned for you that encourages you to stay away from Islam. I ask Allah to put distance between you and Shaytan's plan for you as He puts distance between the east and the west. Ameen.

As Salaam Alay****ister
MashaAllah. Good to see someone on board.
I agree with the smiley comment. When I saw it, to me, I saw a muslimah in niqab. I know it is Allah's will, but it is funny how you see the world from an Islamic perspective. SubhanAllah. That is a good thing!!
I attend 3 of the local masjids. Two of which are sunni and another is salafi. As long as they are following Quran and sunnah, I will try to join them sometimes. I work and do not attend jumaah often. However, I do talk and gather with the sisters often.
I dont sew, but inshaAllah, I am looking to take a class or two. My husband can!!! He is Moroccan and learned from watching his sisters and mother. I am sure he could show me. InshaAllah, but I want to learn a few other things.
I am a henna artist and have been for a few years. Have been able to produce good additional income with it. I like it. I have always been an artist, but when I came to the deen, my artwork was haram. This gives me an outlet. I am thankful to Allah for that.
I do sometimes visit the salafitalk.net or bakat.net (spelling?). I like to read the question and answer there.
InshaAllah, I will have a chance to talk with you. May Allah will be with you during your surgery and will send the angels to be amongst you. Ameen.

Wa alai****alaam, Nia. I do a lot of lurking but don't post to the main board either. I am glad to see we have a board for muslims, alhamdulila. My name is Khadija. I have been trying to get this surgery for well over three years, but inshaAllah, by the end of this year, I am going to self pay. I'll be coming to this board more often. Assalamu Alaikum.
Walay****alam Sister.
I posted on the board quite some time ago but was disappointed at the lack of content or should I say interaction. I am as of this month a 2 year post op and of course so very happy of this life changing decision that I made in my life. I am happy to see that there are others. I can remember being newly post op and having questions about fasting for Ramadan and other plights and feeling I had NO one to turn too. I hope this year will be different Insha Allah. (pbuh) I divide my time between here and Morocco which is where my mother is from and also my husband. We are blessed to have family in both countries and are currently trying to conceive our first child so a lot is going on in our life but with Allah (pbuh) on our side there is NO feat to great.

Yes, I agree..Moroccan men are the best but of course we could be partial...LOL Then again I am half Moroccan (from my mother) so that also helps..
My husband is from Rabat. We were there this year in Jan-Feb and I already miss it.
I have had many ups and downs on the surgery but all again so worth it. My profile sort of details them. The worst thing I would have to say is the strictures I had which started 3 weeks after surgery. That is when your stoma (the port between the two tummies) seals closed and has to be dilated. It took my husband a while to get used to it all. The small amounts of food when he was used to hearty Moroccan means and also the Splenda instead of sugar in our mint tea. I found out later that I CAN tolerate sugar better than I would like to but..that is another story. Insha Allah your surgery will go as planned and all will work out well. Please feel free to to contact me at any time with any questions.
