I was also a Kareoke junkie before my surgery (1/05/04). I haven't been out there since. Kind of scared. My Dad lives in Woonsocket and we visit him often. Whereabouts is there kareoke around there?

I am in Brampton, Ontario, Canada and love Karaoke. My mother-in-law and I participate in three Karaoke sessions each week. I have only been singing since June 2003. I hope to make heads turn after my surgery and weight-loss from WLS. If you ever set up a group, just for Karaoke enthusiasts, I will be there. Chances of me being in your home-town are not very likely. Being Canadian, I generally only travel to Florida, to get some sunshine. lol

What a great idea. I live in Maryland and waiting for my surgery on 12/13/04. Anyone in the Baltimore/Annapolis area that is into Karaoke, please let me know. Would love to get a group of weight loss patients together for a night of fun.

Sharon that sounds like an awesome time. i'm due to have surgery in jan. I run a karaoke system here in michigan and have been for the last 3 yrs. my partner will be running the system while i recover but i'll soon be right back at it i love the people and their support of me has been the one thing in my life i can always count on. and you've given me an awesome idea once i'm on my way to goal i just might have to hold a WLS karaoke party here in michigan an see how many turn out. good luck to you and i hope you have a great time Dawn
