Update from me!!

Hey everyone, thanks so much for the notes emails and prayers..I did great. I had some extra work done..When Dr. Martin started on my hernia repair he found 3 instead of two..investigating further he found my intestines had a little twist so he had to reach in to fix that... 6 hrs. on the table and lots of work later I now have a set of girls who stand up instead of looking down and almost a flat belly (after the swelling goes away)..he took off 12 lbs.. I will say it's not as bad as I expected..I think some of my friends I visted may have been really big babies..lol I am sore no doubt about that..but it's tolerable..Dr. Martin is awesome and very entertaining..he had me laughing so hard the morning of surgery as he was marking me up.. I go back to see him on Monday to have the drain tubes removed (hopefully) I had company today so I am exhausted..gonna go rest. take care and hope everyone is doing great.. Amy, take it easy!!! Hey Brenda, I missed you by nine minutes. ha ha I'm glad you did so well!! I knew you would. It's a piece of cake, isn't it? Just need some TLC and good rest, and you'll be good to go in no time. It sounds like a lot of people have the same problems; hernias and twisted intestines. I think your friends were babies!! lol I was standing up straight in 3 days and waliking like I never had the surgery. I will definitely have both done again!! (The part that hurt me the most was standing up for the very first time, and when they pulled that darn drain tube out -- it pinched! But, it was over in about 5 seconds, so I lived through it! ha ha Well, I'll let you get to your resting now. Take care and God Bless! I have to go in his office on Wednesday for my first assessment in their study I'm involved in. Hopefully I will be on the loser's bench in a couple of weeks!

Glad to hear it Brenda, Can't wait to see you...You are an inspiration to my family, and have always been there supporting us... I did talk to Taryn today and everything I have been feeling is normal...I did force myself to take my daily walk today, and feel pretty good...One more day of rest before I go back to work again...UGH... So " the Girls" are standing at attention huh..... up, down, up, down Sorry to hear it was a bit more extensive; but, at least he caught it and took care of that problem. It does sound painful. 12 more lbs, way to go.

Glad you are doing well! I am a horrible friend for getting to this post so late lol Anyway We need pics miss brenda!!! Ok and now im jealous lol I know you waited a long time to have it done but I have no patience at all....I dont like to wait and I dont want to wait... but i have to!!!!! oh yes Sarah, and I may never forgive you...NOT..lol I am fine, I kinda hibernate when I am not well...I had company yesterday ..a lady from church brought Mike and I dinner, that was so sweet of her...BUT..she talked and talked and talked and talked and talked..well you get the picture. My family stopped to see me but didn't stay more than an hour. she was still here talking and talking..finally I said to Mike, I need some drugs I am hurting!!!!...that was the worst and I hurt bad last night..never again will I not speak up. She is an older woman and very very sweet, I didn't want to hurt her feelings..but holy moly....lol anyway, when I am feeling better I want to see everyone..I think we should have a holiday dinner out somewhere....what do you think? early Dec sometime would be good. hmmmm Brenda...kinda sounds like you and I on the phone...both of us talk so much...my phone ends up dying every time.... its not used to being used that much lol but I do love talking to ya!
