To those who were Dr. Bolar's patients..
I had my surgery almost 5 years ago, and am currently experiencing some weight re-gain. I never really got all the way to goal to begin with, so I'm sort of upset about this. I have been reading a lot about whether people are "transected" or not during their RNY, and I've been reading a lot about whether people have theirs done proximal or distal - so now I'm curious if any of you actually know what Dr. Bolar did to us? lol. I got my surgery report from the hospital, but I can't translate it..lol..
Also.. what surgeons have everyone transferred to?

Most of the doctors perform the proximal so I would look for that in your medical reports.
Either way, the surgery itself is only a tool. I have several friends that have actually put on all the weight they lost so be careful.... get moving and watch what you eat.
You have come so far, don't let old habits start creeping in to steal your progress.
