October Lexington Conference
Actually neither. It was at a special support meeting for our group that we all met. But, I have seen pictures and I know everyone has name tags as we did at our meeting. it is wonderful to "think" you recognize people from here. Seems like the rest of the group just kinda fades away while you and your OH family gets acquainted. I am looking forward to the one in lexington. Glad it will be in Lexington. I am old and I don't know if I would have the energy to drive the extra hour or so on to G-town. I expect a LOT of people. Even as close to Lexington as I am, I will probably get a room so I can stay near all the activities and meetings. I can't see to drive after dark anyway.
Delores, it's another hour and a half to Georgetown from Lexington??
I must drive fast, when I visit down there I stay in Georgetown alot..it's cheaper and quieter, besides I like hanging out with the docs there..anyway, we go into Lexington for dinner quite often.
I am going to be there on Thurs of this week visiting with a plastic surgeon ...has anyone here heard of or used Dr. Schanz?
No, from where I live. i don't live in lexington. I say I live "near' lexington. Harrodsburg is about 45 minutes to the city limits of lexington. Then on to georgetown. I worked in georgetown for eighteen years in a factory before I became a nurse and at that time I lived in lexington. Then I moved to a farm. I hardly ever even get to lexington except to the doctor. It takes me an hour and half to get on the side of lexington where my surgeon is. Yes, I have met Dr. Sanchez at one of our support meetings. It was well over a year ago and I was not interested in PS so didn't pay a lot of attention . I think he was a little surprised at the 'bluntness" of some of the questions and i got the impression that at that time he might have just started doing some bariatric patients. I know that now he does some for us. or he used to. My group is referring patients to the Drs. Moore P.S. group in Lexington. They have been doing plastic surgery for a total of about fifty years ( I think that's what they said). There are three of them. father and two sons. I don't know how long they have been doing Bariatric patients but I know they have a really good rep at other patitnets and are getting glowing reports from bariatric patients now that they are doing them.
