Yes this is such an exciting time! My mind has been racing ever since I got the call this morning with my date! I have been thinking of all the things I need to do before and after surgery. I think Ill sit down and make a list! lol

I'd take that beach vacation too! Make sure you get lots of before pics so you can do comparisons with next years vacation! you will be amazed!

The best part is that you can always call & if Dr. Sonnanstine isn't in the office (if he's in the OR or something) and talk to Steve or one of the other staff members & they give great advice.
I think the best thing for you to do is to talk about your after care concerns with Dr. Sonnanstine so that he can help relieve your worries. :)

I just got the call from Dr. Tom's (Georgetown Bariatrics) office with my surgery date! July 14th!
Interesting enough, they had an opening just two weeks away in June that I had to decline :(
My son is still in school until June 11th and we are going on vacation June 13th-18th to Myrtle Beach, SC. Tina said traveling long distances and vacation was definately a no-no right after surgery. Im a little sad that I turned down the June date but I figure its for the best all the way around.

I too am using Dr Tom at Georgetown and live about 2 hours away as well. Sorry I dont have any advice on the after care, seeing as I am awaiting my surgery. I got a call 2 weeks ago that I was approved and am awaiting my call from Tina for my surgery date.
