I'm here and waiting for my surgery date. My husband doesn';t seem very supportive when I talk to him about it. It's typical though because I always feel alone in everything I do.........so this will just be another thing. My family is so so on the support. If it wasn't for this website.......I would be majorly depressed about my decision for WLS. Tracie

Well now that I have had the surgery he is a lot better. Prior to surgery he was on again off again in his support. I know now that he was just scared but at the time it was frustrating to say the least. Thxs, I have enough hair for a small country. Shannon The Irish Lassie

Jennifer, My doctor told me he'd "done" a few husbands and wives - he even did a "two-fer." I can't imagine my husband having surgery the same time as me. Mine's waited on me for two weeks, which he couldn't've done if he'd had surgery, too. (Alas, my hubby doesn't need WLS - he's a RUNNER and runs about 30-40 miles a week.)

It great to hear that the lord is so vivid in your marriage. If it were'nt for the lord in mine, I don't know where I would be. God bless you in your upcoming surgery.

Gosh, I am a little late in responding, your surgery is coming up SOON. I wonder if you are going through a "distatchment phase" because of fear about the surgery. I know when I am in a high stree situation, I tend to pull back from my loved ones. As if it would make it easier to lose them. It DOESN'T make it easier, but I think it is a defense mechanism. As for WHERE I am, I usually hang out on the main board. These special interest boards move too slow! Best of luck with your surgery!!!
