Will be there tomorrow only in spirit
The third weekend of October is always the St. Mary's County Oyster Festival, and it's also my oyster-loving husband's birthday. It's a family tradition that we go, and this year is no exception. I am feeling a bit stronger each day, but I've also picked up a nasty sinus infection. I don't think I can manage both the oyster festival and the walk this year, so I won't be there. I wish all you walkers well!!! I'll miss meeting you, especially the Bayview team. But, maybe I'll make it to a support group or another activity one of these days soon.
I was down 16 lbs from surgery day this morning. This is scary!
I guess I'll have to pack a lunch for the festival. I don't recall there being any mushies there except clam chowder, which isn't my favorite soup. I'll have to defer on my annual stuffed ham sandwich until next year.
Well, the important part is you are recovered enough to do a family annual event. Sorry about that sinus infection. They are sure no fun. Hope you recover from that quickly.
We thought of all of our boardie buddies, and talked about the board to people who haven't yet visited. We told people how wonderfully supportive, and knowledgeable everyone is here.
I was so excited to meet Amie and Kristin. I'm sure there were others that I didn't recognize because they look even younger and thinner than their board pictures.
If Darla didn't introduce me to the gorgeous Amie, I wouldn't have recognized her. She looks younger and even thinner in person
. I walked about 1.5 miles, and on such a beautiful day, it was great. The GBMC COMP team was a bit small, but next year, watch out, we'll be making waves.

Hugs!
